Vampires get some new wheels

Finally finished painting my Corpse Cart (and my first painted model of 2015).

I originally started painting this to use in the Sigmar's Blood scenarios, but now I am tempted to give it a field test in the second round of the Escalation League.

I think next on my list is to get a better digital camera, and perhaps better lighting too.

I've posted my battle reports from the MKWGW Escalation League at http://hoagys.blogspot.co.uk/.

Alex has posted his on his blog at http://www.grizzk.blogspot.co.uk/.

  1. Looking good, Andrew!

There was a really good article in a White Dwarf last year (don't ask me which one!) about photographing your models and getting better results. I also spoke to a friend who is a professional photographer, and he advised that the best way was to use a "light box" - which is either literally a box that is white inside, or a white floor and backdrop (A4 printer paper works brilliantly for this). Then, slightly increase your ISO and shutter speeds (I think!) on your camera until you're happy with how it looks, and bingo - nice results with very little shadowing.

  2. Thanks! Sounds like a cool idea. I'll give it a try.
